Refused or vacant: what’s going on with USPS deliveries?

Envelope Image
"... I’m not happy, and I’m beginning to wonder what is happening with the internal workings of the USPS. Let me tell you about two recent events involving their delivery service.

In the first instance, on July 30, I sent some nature-themed stamps on a cover sent to my youngest grandson in Huntersville, N.C. ...Yes, there is the occasional mix-up with deliveries. And given the quantity of mail that I send and receive that is correctly delivered, I am not really looking to bash the Postal Service and their delivery service. I’d be interested in hearing if any readers have had similar experiences with their deliveries, and if so, please contact me at jmhstamp@verizon.net; or at Box 1125, Falls Church, VA 22041-0125."

Florida | Arden residents push back against proposed mailbox change

"LOXAHATCHEE, Fla. — Residents in Arden have been facing significant mail delivery issues, with many claiming they haven't received any mail for months. ... “You created this problem, fix it,” expressed John Shaw, a frustrated resident, as he pointed blame at the developer Lennar. Shaw highlighted the confusion surrounding the mail delivery situation: “You see all of these mailboxes along the street, and none of them will get mail. Even the new construction around the corner has mailboxes.”

Shaw and other residents have been persistently asking both the United States Postal Service (USPS) and Lennar for explanations for months regarding the prolonged lack of mail delivery. ..."This is false advertisement putting these mailboxes out here leading the residents to believe, and any new buyers that are coming here, that their mail will be coming here," Shaw stated. When asked if moving residents were informed about the cluster mailboxes, Shaw replied, “No, never mentioned.”"
