New mail service standard: 36 percent of single-piece mail will be delivered in three to five days, 82 mail processing plants to close
How the new service standards may slow down much more mail than the Postal Service is saying
"...on January 1, 2015, the Postal Service began implementing phase two of Network Rationalization. Service standards for First Class Mail were relaxed yet further — no more overnight delivery for any single-piece mail, and an extra day of delivery time for about half of all First Class Mail.
